Vision statement
The economic changes of the past years have resulted in a new competitive landscape. Whatever we view as the success or the failure of the Internet revolution, reality is that companies are now able to interact directly and nearly in real-time with customers, suppliers, partners and other external parties.
In addition, the speed of change and the complexity of the new initiatives mandate more collaboration and a further outsourcing of activities, again increasing the number of external contact points.
As the result of this fundamental evolution, strategic decision-making increasingly occurs in a context of incomplete knowledge and control. This creates new challenges for today's management teams and introduces the need for new forms of strategic planning, control and decision-making.
In this new economy, the success of organisations will be determined by the quality of their interactions with internal and external parties and the use of new techniques and methods for the design, the execution and the control of these interactions.
